Alpine Tundra - Colorado Glaze Collection

Named for its likeness to the hues of Colorado's high alpine tundra, this glaze has a silky, satin finish that feels amazing to the touch.  The subtle greens and grays draw inspiration from this delicate, arid landscape. The texture and tones of these high desert eco systems are a perfect namesake for this matte finish glaze. Alpine tundra is one of my Colorado collection of glazes - all made from scratch in my small batch studio.

Red Rocks - Colorado Glaze Collection

Red Rocks is a rich, textural glaze that mimics the towering sandstone formations of Colorado's iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.  Red Rocks is a place that's held many special memories for me, including the location of my High School graduation.  If you appreciate live music, you know Red Rocks... and I feel incredibly spoiled to live so close to this venue!  

With a satin, toasty finish - it's a creamy brown with a lean toward rust and pink tones, and varies based on the thickness of application.  Used over an iron rich clay that fires almost black, this collection is a personal favorite.  It's a little moody, modern, and has a depth of color that is hard to capture in a photograph.

Great Sand Dune - Colorado Glaze Collection

Inspired by the sandy rose tones of the Great Sand Dunes at sunrise, this glaze combination is reactive, with great depth of color.  Playful and earthy, the speckled rust colored glaze interacts with white to bring hits of rose pink and peach, just like the sun's rays over the dunes.  The layers resemble the dunes of sand on the horizon, with sections of exposed raw clay to provide contrast.

Palisade - Colorado Glaze Collection

Inspired by the charming western slope town of Palisade, CO - this collection is modern and neutral.  The towering silhouette of Mt. Garfield on the horizon, the tidy rows of peach blossoms below, and even the unique texture of the flats; it's all captured in this custom, hand-dipped glaze combination. The peachy tones give a nod to Palisade peaches - a seasonal favorite, grown in Colorado's high desert landscape. This glaze holds a lot of movement and texture.  The finish delivers a subtle and warm modern aesthetic.

Blue Spruce - Colorado Pottery Collection

My Blue Spruce Collection was inspired by the depth of color found in Colorado's state tree. The result is the perfect slate blue/green toned glaze, with a smooth glossy finish.  When overlapped with white, it takes on the wintery look of a snow dusted branch, and is a glaze I come back to each holiday season.

The simple, modern speckle collection that started it all - this speckled stoneware is glazed in a glossy white. Named for the location of my studio in Colorado's Front Range.
